Travis Head tests positive to COVID-19

Travis Head has contracted COVID-19 as an outbreak continues to cast a cloud on the SCG Test.

Cricket Australia have added Mitch Marsh, Nic Maddinson and Josh Inglis to Australia’s Test squad as cover players.

Pat Cummins’ side is slated to travel to Sydney on New Year’s Eve via charter flight, with England flying out on a separate charter flight.

England’s touring party reported no new COVID-19 cases on Friday.

England head coach Chris Silverwood is remaining in Melbourne and will miss the fourth Test, beginning on January 5, because he is isolating as a close contact.
