Two teenagers have been arrested after a 17-year-old girl was left for dead when a stolen car ploughed into a Brisbane home.

Queensland Police have charged a 19-year-old Kingston man and a 14-year-old Cherbourg boy who they believe are part of a group involved in a “series of offences” including Monday night’s horror crash.

The 17-year-old girl is in a critical condition with “significant facial injuries” after a Lexus slammed into a Sunnybank Hills house so hard, it was on the verge of collapse.

Police believe up to four males got out of the car and jumped into a second vehicle – also believed to be stolen – that was travelling with the Lexus, leaving the injured girl at the scene.

Police allege the 19-year-old had earlier stolen the Lexus owned by a 58-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man at a Kuraby residence in Brisbane’s south.

He has been charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving and receiving tainted property.

He has appeared in a Richlands court and been remanded in custody.

The 14-year-old has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

“Police believe the pair were linked to a group involved in a series of offences prior to and after the crash across Logan, South Brisbane and Ipswich,” a police statement said.

Police said their investigations into the crash and other alleged offences were ongoing.
