Last-placed Adelaide have won the toss and chosen to bat in Wednesday’s Big Bash League game at the Gabba against Brisbane, with the Heat welcoming back several players from COVID isolation.
Superstar Chris Lynn leads the returning players for the hosts and will captain the Heat in the ongoing absence of Jimmy Peirson with Xavier Bartlett, Ben Duckett, Liam Guthrie, Matthew Kuhnemann and Nathan McSweeney also back into the team.
Local replacement players Lachy Pfeffer and Jake Lehmann have kept their spots in the team following a loss to Hobart last Saturday.
Adelaide are without ex-Test batsman Matt Renshaw, who is isolating under COVID protocols, and head into Wednesday’s match having lost seven of their past eight matches.
Brisbane sit fifth on the ladder with three wins from 10 matches.
Conditions are clear in Brisbane with the match scheduled to start at 6.15pm AEST.
