Thunder lose early BBL wickets against Strikers

The Sydney Thunder have lost two early wickets after making a lightning start to their BBL innings against the Adelaide Strikers in Adelaide.

Visiting captain Chris Green won the toss and elected to bat with both teams searching for their first win of the BBL season.

The Thunder went into Tuesday’s clash at Adelaide Oval with an unchanged XI from the team that lost to Brisbane Heat by 20 runs last Tuesday at Manuka Oval.

The Strikers have yet to take the field this summer with their season opener against the Heat on December 9 abandoned without a ball being bowled.

After three overs, the Thunder were 2-38 with Alex Hales out for 18 off seven balls and Matthew Gilkes dismissed without scoring.
