Crows take McKinnon case to AFLW tribunal

Roger Vaughan and Anna Harrington |

Adelaide ruck Montana McKinnon will go to the AFLW tribunal as she tries to play in Saturday’s home grand final against Melbourne.

McKinnon is facing grand final heartache unless she can overturn a one-game ban for rough conduct against Fremantle star Kiara Bowers during Saturday’s preliminary final win.

The incident was graded as careless conduct, with medium impact and high contact.

If the tribunal upholds the ban, the Crows can consider an appeal.

Melbourne’s Alyssa Bannan was charged with a dangerous tackle, but she was offered a reprimand and is free to play in the grand final.
