Harawira-Naera extends NRL Raiders stay

Canberra have secured the long-term NRL future of New Zealand international Corey Harawira-Naera.
The 26-year-old will remain with the Raiders until the end of the 2025 season after signing a new deal.
“The club has been really welcoming since I’ve been down here after leaving another club,” Harawira-Naera said.
“It’s very exciting, I love my life down here and I love the boys and I’m glad that the club want to have me as well because most players struggle and get a bit worried when their contract is on the line.
“I’m glad to get it done and I can focus on the season.”
Harawira-Naera joined Canberra after having his contract terminated by Canterbury in 2020 and has made 26 appearances for the Green Machine.
The retention of Harawira-Naera offsets the loss of English prop Ryan Sutton who is expected to confirm a move away from the Raiders to the Bulldogs in the coming days.
