Dominant Australia retain the Ashes at MCG

Australia have retained the Ashes by thrashing a hapless England in the third Test, winning by an innings and 14 runs at the MCG.

Victorian debutant Scott Boland claimed 6-7 as the tourists were routed for 68 in their second innings before lunch on day three.

The result gave Australia an unassailable 3-0 lead ahead of Tests in Sydney and Hobart to complete the series.
