Man dies in crash after trying to avoid hitting cow

A driver has been killed while trying to avoid hitting a cow in Queensland.
The 29-year-old’s vehicle lost control and crashed near Charters Towers in the state’s north about 10.30pm on Tuesday night, police say.
The driver died at the scene while two passengers – a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman – suffered minor injuries.
Anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage have been urged to contact police.
