Teenager drowns while swimming at rock pool

A teenager has drowned while swimming at a Gold Coast rock pool.

Police say emergency services were called to Currumbin Valley Rock Pools at about 4pm on Sunday after the 18-year-old Ipswich man failed to resurface.

The teenager’s body was found by police divers about four hours later.

Police said the death was not suspicious, with a report to be prepared for the coroner.
