Police charge third person over stabbing murder
Fraser Barton |
Three people have now been charged with murder over a stabbing in north Queensland.
Police in Townsville arrested and charged a 24-year-old Condon man on Wednesday with the murder of a 39-year-old Aurukun man at Railway Estate in Townsville on July 12.
He was arrested after leaving his vehicle and officers allegedly discovered a handgun, drugs and money in the car.
He has been charged with murder, entering a dwelling, threatening violence and deprivation of liberty.
He will face the Townsville Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The same charges were laid against a 37-year-old Beach Holm man and a 37-year-old woman earlier this month.
Police allege the culprits entered a property and assaulted the victim just after 4.30am before leaving in a vehicle.
The man suffered injuries including a stab wound to his chest and died at the scene.
