Man critical after being stabbed, falling from balcony

A man is fighting for life after being stabbed and falling from a fire exit balcony in north Queensland.

The 39-year-old man fell from the balcony of a disused building in the Townsville CBD about 12.45am on Friday.

Police said the Kelso mad had been stabbed before the fall and remains in critical condition. 

Two people are in custody and are assisting with the investigation.
