Teenage boy charged after man carjacked in his driveway

A 17-year-old boy has been charged after a man was carjacked in his driveway in Brisbane’s north east.

The man was reversing out of his driveway in Bulimba on Sunday when he was confronted by two males armed with a knife and a shovel, Queensland Police said.

The pair allegedly threatened the man and demanded access to his Audi A3.

The man complied and the Audi was later found abandoned and undamaged about eight kilometres away in Stones Corner.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with armed robbery, possessing dangerous drugs and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He will appear before Brisbane Childrens Court at a later date.
