A man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting during an altercation near Brisbane Airport.

His arrest came two days after the incident at a car park on Nancy Bird Way, which police say was between a 38-year-old man and people in an Audi A4.

A 33-year-old man in the car allegedly brandished a firearm during the Sunday night encounter and shot the man in the shoulder before fleeing in the vehicle.

The 38-year-old Corinda man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police alleged the men were known to each other.

Detectives arrested the 33-year-old Caboolture man on Tuesday afternoon after intercepting him on a road in Morayfield, north of Brisbane.

They later arrested a Morayfield woman, 29, who was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

The man faces 11 charges including attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and receiving tainted property, while the woman was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

They are due to face Caboolture Magistrates Court on Wednesday and Thursday.
