Pair charged over Queensland truck crash

A boy and a man will face court accused of causing a truck crash by throwing rocks at its windscreen on a major highway south of Brisbane.
The 15-year-old and 18-year-old, and a 15-year-old girl, allegedly threw rocks at the truck’s windscreen as it was being driven along the Logan Motorway about 5am on Friday.
Police said the 28-year-old driver lost control of the truck and it crashed into a guardrail, but he was not physically injured.
The crash led to a two-hour closure of the motorway’s westbound lanes while emergency crews cleared the wreckage.
Police arrested the trio at the scene.
The older teen has been charged with three counts of endangering the safety of a person in a vehicle with intent and wilful damage. He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on February 13.
The 15-year-old boy will face three charges of endangering the safety of a person in a vehicle with intent and wilful damage in the Beenleigh Childrens Court.
The 15-year-old girl will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
