Police said the two were known to each other.

Police want to hear from people who saw this ute in South Rockhampton on Sunday

Investigators would like to speak to anyone with information regarding a silver/grey Great Wall dual cab utility that may have been travelling in the South Rockhampton area between Gladstone Road and Quay Street, with cross streets Derby Street, Stanley Street and South Street.

It’s believed bright coloured decals were removed from the vehicle on Sunday between 3 and 4pm.

Residents are also asked to check their yards, bins and any other parts of their properties for a plain grey jumper that may have been discarded.

Anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

The man is remanded in custody and will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on November 16.
