Search underway on Cape York for missing man

The search continues for a man missing from the western Cape York community of Aurukun.
Police and the Aurukun Shire Council have appealed for public help to locate 60-year-old Burt Wikmunea who was last seen around 4pm on Wednesday at his Enyan Circuit home.
Police and family have serious concerns for his safety as he suffers from a medical condition.
Police and State Emergency Service volunteers from Cairns and Weipa, along with other volunteers, friends and family, began searching for Mr Wikmunea yesterday.
Police are urging Aurukun residents to check their yards and houses and to contact police with any information that may assist in locating him.
