Cabrella Builds Insurance Into I’d Ship That’s Platform

Sellers can add all-risk coverage and file claims without leaving the app they use to print labels
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Cabrella, a leading provider of shipping insurance and logistics risk management solutions, today announced a partnership with I’d Ship That, the shipping platform built for marketplace sellers and small businesses. The integration has been live since August. I’d Ship That sellers can now add all-risk coverage in the same flow they use to print a label, then file and track claims without leaving the app.

I’d Ship That serves the sellers that traditional shipping software wasn’t designed around: eBay and Etsy sellers, side hustlers, and small businesses that ship every week without a logistics department. The platform gives them discounted USPS rates typically associated with much higher shipping volume, with no setup fees or minimums and a free way to get started. Its bulk-processing tool, the Workbench, serves sellers who have outgrown printing a handful of labels at a time.
Large and small shippers alike need protection when something goes wrong. Lost or damaged packages cut into margins and damage brand reputation. Carrier-included coverage can help, but it doesn’t always reflect the value of what a seller ships or provide the claims experience they need.
Cabrella built its coverage directly into I’d Ship That’s platform through an API integration. Sellers can optionally add all-risk coverage while they print a label. The co-branded claims experience lets a seller file a claim, upload what’s needed, and track its status in the app. It reflects a broader commitment at Cabrella to build features that make clients’ lives easier, not just write policies.
“I’d Ship That figured out how to give sellers access to competitive shipping rates without asking them to build a shipping department around it,” said Ben Meskin, founder and CEO of Cabrella. “We want coverage to work the same way — built into the platform, not something a seller has to go track down on their own. That’s why this partnership made sense immediately.”
For I’d Ship That, the partnership does more than make coverage available to sellers. The company also sees what’s happening across its platform: where losses are clustering and how claims are resolving, rather than a premium invoice at the end of the month.
“Cabrella gives us the technology to offer insurance directly within our shipping platform while providing our customers with a streamlined claims experience,” said Jared Ford, founder of I’d Ship That. “Just as importantly, we have visibility into insurance and claims activity across our customer base, which helps us better understand and support our shippers.”
The partnership reflects a shift Cabrella is watching across the industry. Shipping platforms are starting to treat insurance as part of the product, not a form sellers have to find somewhere else after the fact. Cabrella expects that direction to continue and plans to keep building toward it.
