Gold Coast Takeoff: Bonza Revs Up Expansion with Two New Aircraft

Two additional Bonza aircraft have received regulatory approval and will begin flying in and out of the Gold Coast today.
The new aircraft will allow Bonza to service its new routes from the Gold Coast to 14 destinations around the country. These destinations include Albury, Bundaberg, Cairns, Darwin, Gladstone, Launceston, Mackay, Melbourne (Avalon), Melbourne (Tullamarine), Mount Isa, Mildura, Rockhampton, Townsville and the Whitsunday Coast.
In the short term, Bonza will use the two aircraft leased from partner-airline Flair to service the Gold Coast base. The airline’s other aircraft will continue to fly from its Sunshine Coast and Melbourne bases.
“At Bonza, we focus our attention on unserved or underserved markets,” said Jordan. “Our approach to aviation delivers low-cost non-stop choices to consumers who previously stayed home due to expensive airfares or had to fly via a major hub on another airline.”
Bonza is offering a 30% discount on flights to and from the Gold Coast for travel between December 19, 2023 and January 31, 2024. Travellers can book now on the Fly Bonza app using promo code GOLDIE until Thursday, December 21.
The addition of these new aircraft is a positive development for Bonza and its customers. The airline is now well-positioned to continue its expansion and provide more Australians with access to affordable air travel.
