NSW Police are investigating after two bodies were found at the Tweed Ski Lodge Caravan Park.

Investigations into the deaths of two men in separate caravans near the NSW-Queensland border are continuing.

Parts of the Tweed Ski Lodge Caravan Park in Chinderah became a crime scene on Thursday after the two men were found unresponsive about 12.30am.

The men, believed to be aged between 50 and 70, were found in neighbouring caravans.

NSW Police cordoned off the two caravans and a white ute, with an investigation continuing into Thursday afternoon.

One of the caravans appeared to have a large, permanent annex with a front door surrounded by discarded cans.

The other caravan also appeared to have a large annex.

The town of Chinderah is home to about 1900 people, nestled between the Tweed River and coastal Kingscliff and about seven kilometres south of Tweed Heads.

It was devastated by flooding in 2022 after the river burst its banks.
