Man hit with murder charge after woman’s death

Detectives have charged a 37-year-old man with murder after a woman was found dead in Perth.

Authorities were called to a home on Birkett Street in Bedford, in the city’s northeast, around 5pm on Monday.

A 35-year-old woman was found dead at the scene and a 37-year-old man was taken into custody.

He was later charged with murder and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
