Police release surveillance of repeat drone thief

By The Queenslander Staff
Logan detectives have released footage following the theft of high end drones on two separate occasions at the same hobby shop in Hillcrest in June.
On June 20 a man driving a white Toyota Corolla sedan without registration plates pulled into a car park at Central Court, wandering around the hobby shop before asking staff to view a drone.
Around 3.40pm, as the attendant was packing the drone away the man grabbed the bag and ran from the store fleeing in the Toyota Corolla, which appears to have been driven by another man.
The alleged thief is described as Caucasian in appearance with a slim build.
He was wearing a white t-shirt, long black pants, white shoes, a black cap, silver watch and a black face mask. He was carrying a tan satchel.
In a separate incident on June 29, a white Toyota Corolla sedan bearing false Queensland registration 788VGV pulled up outside the hobby business around 2.30am.
Two people, one armed with a sledgehammer, gained entry to the rear of store.
Inside the shop, the pair stole a quantity of property, including drones before fleeing the scene in the white Corolla.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information, dashcam or CCTV footage of the area from around the time of the incident to contact police.
