A man has been charged with a string of offences after another man was allegedly shot in the leg and a third seriously injured in Brisbane’s north.
The 26-year-old has been remanded in custody and will reappear in a Brisbane court on March 7 on nine charges including two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm following the incident earlier this month.
Police found a 38-year-old man in a critical condition with a “serious gun shot wound to his leg” and a 48-year-old man who had allegedly been assaulted when they were called out to a Wavell Heights address on January 14.
Police believe there was an altercation involving a large group of people before the alleged shooting at the Highlands St address, with a car seen leaving the area shortly afterwards.
The 38-year-old man received first aid from neighbours before emergency services rushed him to hospital.
It is believed the 48-year-old was struck in the head by a gun.
The 26-year-old Woombye man was arrested on January 19.
He was charged with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of unlawful possession of a category B weapon, dangerous conduct with a weapon, armed robbery using personal violence and in company, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and in company, enter with intent whilst armed, using personal violence and in company, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of dangerous drugs.
