Australia will bat first in the first women’s Ashes T20 to be held at Lord’s.

The tourists, who are one win away from retaining the women’s Ashes, have fielded an unchanged XI despite losing the second T20 at the Oval on Wednesday, allowing England to keep the series alive.

“It is a good result for me to lose the toss,” insisted captain Alyssa Healy on Saturday.

“I didn’t really mind what we did. We’re happy to have a bat, we haven’t done that first yet in this series, so looking forward to getting out there.

“We had a good look at what went wrong [on Wednesday].

“Sometimes, winning can gloss over some of the areas you miss out on, so the other night was probably a good little kick up the bum for us to identify a few areas we need to tidy up. Hopefully, we can fix them tonight.”

England are also unchanged and captain Heather Knight said: “We expect Australia to come really hard at us and we have to be prepared.”

Australia need to win only one of the four remaining white-ball matches to retain the multi-format Ashes, after taking wins in the Test match and first T20.
