A Victorian man wanted over historical child sex offences has been extradited after being caught hiding out in northern Queensland.
The 53-year-old man failed to face court on more than 30 child sex and indecent assault offences between 2009 and 2012, triggering a four-year probe into his whereabouts.
He was arrested at a Cairns shopping centre on Wednesday and escorted back to Victoria by investigators on Sunday afternoon, ahead of facing Melbourne County Court on Monday.
