Convicted sex offender Rolf Harris dies age 93

Disgraced entertainer and convicted sex offender Rolf Harris has died at the age of 93, a registrar at Maidenhead Town Hall has confirmed.

Harris, born in Perth on March 30, 1930, became one of Britain’s biggest stars before he was jailed for child sex crimes.

Harris was jailed, at the age of 84, for five years and nine months in July 2014 after an English jury found him guilty of 12 counts of sexually abusing women and girls, one as young as seven or eight, between 1968 and 1986.
