Baby fights for life as police investigate her injuries

A baby girl remains in critical condition more than a week after being found unconscious, in cardiac arrest and unable to breathe on the Gold Coast.

The five-month-old was taken to Gold Coast Hospital with significant internal injuries from a home in Coomera on February 1, and police say the infant had no apparent external injuries.

Police are appealing for information as they try to determine what caused her injuries, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Child Protection and Investigation Unit.
