Khan-Pereira latest Titan to go in Hannay clean-out

Josh Hannay’s Gold Coast clean-out has continued with Alofiana Khan-Pereira becoming the third Titan to formally exit the club in the space of a week.
Khan-Pereira was officially released from the final season of his Titans contract on Monday, with the noted try-scorer free to join the Warriors on a three-year deal.
His departure comes after the Titans secured a payout of close to $100,000 to let Carter Gordon return to rugby union, with the playmaker to go on the Wallabies’ spring tour of Europe.
Veteran prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard was also released to head to the London Broncos last week, just one season into a three-year deal on the Gold Coast.
The moves come as David Fifita’s proposed switch to South Sydney awaits clearance, with the Titans and Rabbitohs still negotiating an off-season deal.

Centre Phillip Sami has also been given permission to leave, and a swap with St George Illawarra for Lachlan Ilias is a real possibility.
Regardless, the fluidity of the Titans’ roster shows why Gold Coast emerged as an attractive option for Hannay as a first-year coach.
If Fifita and Sami go, that will leave the Titans with just 23 players signed on their 30-man roster for next season, giving Hannay plenty of room to work with.
Only nine players are signed beyond the end of next year, allowing the rookie coach to mould the squad in whatever way he sees fit.
Khan-Pereira has been a fan favourite at the Titans since his debut in 2023, becoming the equal-fastest to 50 tries in the NRL era when he reached it in 52 games this year.
But he played just 10 matches this year after battling hamstring issues at the start and end of the season, as well as completing a stint in the Queensland Cup to fix defensive issues.
“Speed is one of the greatest commodities in rugby league and Lofi has no shortage of that,” Warriors coach Andrew Webster said.
“We saw first-hand how damaging he is as a finisher when the Titans beat us in Robina last year.
“We love what he’ll bring to our club with both his ability and his character.”
