Tom Trbojevic could be plying his trade in the Super League after next year.

Tom Trbojevic’s future at Manly is no longer a certainty after the superstar fullback’s name was floated as a potential option for English Super League clubs to consider.

Reports out of England on Wednesday night suggested multiple teams had been sounded out about the fullback, who is off contract at Manly at the end of 2026.

The Manly junior has previously ruled out any chance of ever running out against the Sea Eagles, with most in the NRL considering an extension there was almost certain.

But moving to the Super League would allow Trbojevic to continue playing, without lining up against the club where he is a fan favourite.

The Sea Eagles are keen to keep Trbojevic on a new multi-year deal, with talks ongoing after they opened negotiations with he and his brother Jake earlier this year.

The 2021 Dally M Medallist said late last month he had not yet personally been involved in the talks, but would take a closer look at his future once the season ended.

At the time, the 28-year-old insisted he was not unhappy with the overall direction of Manly, a point the Sea Eagles also maintain.

Trbojevic has made no secret of the fact he is expecting to take a pay cut in his next deal, conceding he has not spent enough time on the field in his current one.

The Manly ace initially attempted to cut his wage mid-contract in 2024 to ease cap pressure at the Sea Eagles, before the request was rejected by the NRL.

Trbojevic endured a difficult first half of 2025, after suffering hamstring and knee complaints from round two onwards.

But the representative star recaptured his form in five games at centre in July and August, before showing signs of his best in a bumper end to the year back at No.1.

The Trbojevic situation is one of several developments at Manly.

Laurie Daley this week told the club he would not replace Michael Ennis as a consultant to Anthony Seibold, owing to a heavy work schedule.

Daley had shown interest in the role, but already juggles breakfast radio commitments and the NSW State of Origin head-coaching job.

The Sea Eagles are also close to signing Sydney Roosters utility Zach Dockar-Clay, who would give the club much-needed back up at hooker for next year.

Utility Jazz Tevaga and Gordon Chan Kum Tong both left the club at the end of 2025, while dummy-half Lachlan Croker is also still sidelined by concussion.

Dockar-Clay’s signature will follow that of Brisbane lock Kobe Hetherington, who has agreed to join Manly on a four-year deal from the start of next season.

Also, Sea Eagles prop Josh Aloiai is edging closer to finalising a medical retirement after being sidelined by persistent shoulder injuries.

Aloiai has not played since his latest shoulder setback in June and is going through the final stages of walking away from the sport.
