Wests Tigers are on the lookout for a new NRLW coach after former Kangaroos and NSW playmaker Brett Kimmorley announced this season would be his last.

Kimmorley, who was out of contract at the end of 2025, will see out the remaining two games of the year before finishing up with the Tigers.

The Tigers, who won last year’s wooden spoon, currently sit bottom of the NRLW with just one win from their first nine games.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time with this group and contributing to the establishment of this program at the Wests Tigers and am grateful to (chief executive Shane Richardson) Richo and the board for their support,” Kimmorley said.

“I think this is the right time for me to step aside and give someone the opportunity to lead this fantastic group into the 2026 season and beyond.”

The Tigers, who are out of finals contention, will see out their season with games against Parramatta and the Warriors before beginning their search for Kimmorley’s replacement.

“We’re thankful to Brett for the work he’s done in building our NRLW program,” Richardson said.

“Brett’s a fantastic person who brought great knowledge and experience into the role, he’s been a pleasure to work with right across the organisation.”
