Three people have died in a plane crash in bushland near Fernvale, in Queensland’s Somerset region.

Preliminary information indicates the aircraft departed Dalby at 10am and was due to land at Archerfield at 2pm.

Authorities began searching for the aircraft when it failed to arrive.

The aircraft was located during an aerial search and all three occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene.
