Police have charged a man and woman over the alleged theft of a pet dog and vehicle in Brisbane last month.
It’s alleged the six-year-old chihuahua was in a blue 2011 Suzuki Swift stolen from outside a café on Camborne Street in Alderley at approximately early on July 24.
The dog was handed in to a vet in Stafford by a man two days later, and has since been returned to her owner safe and well.
An off-duty police officer saw the car in Boondall on August 2, with different number plates on it, and saw a woman and man get out of the vehicle and walk into a unit complex.
They were arrested and charged with stealing and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 26-year-old Gordon Park has been remanded in custody to reappear on September 19. A 34-year-old Gordon Park will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 30.
