Attempted murder charge over Qld stabbing

A teenage girl is in a critical condition and a 36-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident in central Queensland.
Police allege the 17-year-old was stabbed several times with a knife in the regional town of Dysart at about 4pm on Monday.
She remains in a critical but stable condition at Mackay Base Hospital.
The accused woman was taken to Dysart hospital with minor injuries, where it is alleged she assaulted a police officer.
She is due to appear at the Mackay Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with attempted murder, common assault and serious assault of a police officer.
The pair are believed to be known to each other.
