Second man charged over Queensland murder

A second man has been charged with murder after a woman was shot dead at a home on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Police said the 25-year-old woman was shot during a loud argument at a home at Dicky Beach about 9.30am on Friday.
She was dropped off at Caloundra Base Hospital with a severe gunshot wound to her head and died later from her injuries.
A 30-year-old Wartulla man has been charged with murder and unlawful possession of a weapon. He was denied bail and remanded in custody.
He is due to face Maroochydore Magistrates court on Monday.
It comes after a 30-year-old Narangba man was on Saturday charged with murder over the woman’s death.
Meanwhile, detectives have charged a man with attempted murder after a verbal altercation turned violent on the Gold Coast on Saturday evening.
Officers were called to a disturbance at Coomera around 11.30pm to find one 18-year-old had chased another to nearby parkland following a confrontation between the pair.
It’s alleged one stabbed the other multiple times on the arms and leg causing serious injuries.
He remains in hospital.
An 18-year-old Mudgeeraba man was taken into custody at a nearby residence and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
